Andrew Money-Kyrle

Dr Andrew Money-Kyrle FRCP, Consultant Cardiologist, is an expert interventional cardiologist, specialising in particular in Angioplasty (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention or PCI) which is the technique used to reopen coronary arteries in patients who are having a heart attack or who suffer from angina.  

Dr Money-Kyrle trained in medicine at the University of Oxford and St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London.  Funded by the British Heart Foundation, he undertook post-graduate doctoral research into the cellular mechanisms underlying heart failure at the National Heart and Lung Institute and the Royal Brompton Hospital, and was awarded his MD for this research by Imperial College, University of London. 

His specialist clinical cardiology training was undertaken at the London Chest Hospital, St Bartholomew’s and the Heart Hospital, University College Hospital, London.   He was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist by Buckinghamshire Hospitals NHS Trust and the John Radcliffe Hospital Oxford in 2003. 

Since then, he has played a central role in developing the cardiology services in Buckinghamshire, including outpatient cardiac services at Stoke Mandeville, development of coronary angiography, angioplasty and pacing services in the new catheter lab at Wycombe Hospital and offering angioplasty services for Buckinghamshire patients at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.  

In addition to clinical work, Dr. Money-Kyrle frequently gives lectures to GPs and specialists in the field of cardiology.  

He is available for private consultations at the Chiltern Hospital, Great Missenden, and at the Paddocks Hospital, Princes Risborough.

He undertakes private angiograms, angioplasties and pacemaker implantations at the Shelburne Unit, High Wycombe, the Manor Hospital, Oxford and the John Radcliffe Hospital.
